Burnham Beeches

A one mile sprint finishing on Lord Mayor’s Drive in Burnham Beeches. The Lord Mayor’s Mile is mainly a fun, family event followed by a picnic BBQ at the finish but there is an element of competition involved, this is after all a Club Championship event!

All members, new and old, fast and slow, young or not-so-young can run a mile, and the non-runners in your family will be welcome to run too. Bring your own food and drink, cooking facilities and basic sustenance (nibbles, bread, water, beer) provided. Bottle prizes up for grabs. Don’t miss it!

The annual Lord Mayor’s Mile run will take place on Friday 24 June. Parking is in the Dell near the bottom of Lord Mayor’s Drive.  The start will be at the usual place in Bedford Drive at 7.00 pm and registration will begin at 6 PM at the hut at the bottom of Lord Mayor’s Drive. You will need to leave sufficient time to jog to the start.

Entry fees will be £2 per adult and £1 for children under 16.
