Cliveden XC Update
Filed under Cliveden XCDec 27Weather is looking clear for Cliveden Cross Country on 2nd January 2012, some rain expected at the weekend. A small group of Burnham Joggers checked the course today and found a mostly firm and fast course. There is a slight change to the course at the end of the grass field where building works are taking place and another change shortly after the start to stay on tarmac for an additional 50m before taking a new path towards the water gardens. All the usual hazards remain: sharp corners, uneven ground, steep hills and 173 steps to be ascended twice!
Start time 10:00
Distance approx 6.1 miles
No Spikes
No water station on the race routeLate entries are available from the Orangery (see race route). Please read the race programme.

Dec 27
Slough Cross Country is part of the Chiltern League series of races that we have not entered as a club for a few years. Individual entries are available, see the race secretary on the day, in the office behind the changing rooms. The event takes place in Upton Court Park, Slough. It’s best to park at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre, Eton and walk over the Jubilee River and M4 footbridges.
Chiltern League matches have a format similar to track meetings with lots of races, all age groups from under 11s to senior/veteran. First start is 11:30, with the men running last at 14:00. See http://www.chilternccl.co.uk/slough.htm for full details.
