BBHM – special Olympic pre-event proposed
Filed under Club NewsMar 11If enough club members are interested, we would like to organise a social outing to visit the Olympic Marathon event in London (5th August, women’s event) as BJ’s to mark this years Burnham Beeches Half Marathon. The theme would be:
1) wear as much yellow & green as you dare, but as a minimum club vest/t-shirt for members!
2) help hand out some flyers to catch a few inspired spectators/runners to enter the Burnham Beeches Half Marathon
3) soak in the Olympic atmosphere and watch others do a bit of inspired runningIf interested please let Nick know or leave a comment below – this event will only go ahead if there’s sufficient interest from club members!
Please note:
- family/friends are welcome to join in as long as you look after them (and good luck with the dress-code)
- logistics will be worked out subsequently but expect that we will meet up locally to travel in by public transport or you make your own way into London and we’ll announce a meet-up place on the Marathon course -
