A big Thank You to all the runners and marshals who made this event a great success despite a couple of difficulties. Thank you for your good humor and understanding. The same goes to the general public for respecting our race and complying with marshal’s directions.
Race photos – with thanks to Glenn Chapman
Burnham Joggers gratefully acknowledge the support of the Corporation of London, owners of Burnham Beeches, in the staging of this event.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Burnham Beeches half-marathon, which was my very first half, back in 1989. The organisation, again, was superb, running like clockwork. The scenery was stunning and everyone was so very friendly. It was well worth the trip down from Fenland. As the saying goes: “I shall be back!” My sincere thanks go to everyone who was involved in this fantastic event.
Hi all at Burnham joggers,
Thanks for organising a great event yesterday. Although this has to be one of the toughest half marathons I have done, it was a great route and the marshalls support was much appreciated.
Maybe see you all next year!
Well done to you all. Fantastic event. Rest and recover well, Mr. Race Director. It took me a couple of weeks to be able to speak properly again after my efforts.
Thanks for a well organised half marathon. It was my first at Burnham Beeches. Tough course, but through beautiful contryside. Exxelent to have a dip in the outdoor pool afterwards.
A super run – tough, demanding but all the more enjoyable for the pain. Superbly organised. One of August’s great pleasures.
hand picked hills,so hard and completly ruined what could have been a nice race .
Thank you for the Burnham joggers for such a fabulous run yesterday. It was a challenging, but beautiful course. I loved running though forrest – I didn’t even need my ipod. A big thank you also to all the people on the course cheering us on as we went past. It was a fantastic experience. I will recommended it to all the Sydney Striders travelling to the UK for a fun british run.
My first half marathon, and definitely a tough one to start with! Well marshalled, with lots of much needed encouragement. Will definitely be doing again. Thanks to all involved!
A big thanks to the Burnham Joggers for a fantastic half marthon. This was my first time doing a marthon and I was really impressed with how well it was organised from the car parking to the very surportive Marshalls who provided me with extra encourment to finsh the race. I really liked the courese and enjoyed tackling the hills. allready looking forward to next years one.
A big thankyou to all involved. The course was not a flat one thus very draining.
The marshalls were wonderful.
Really happy with the route, the administration was spot on and overall a really pleasant experience. I achieved a new PB as well. Pat on the back to the organisers.
Thanks to all who organised this year’s run! Was a great race – my first half marathon, and was relieved to make it back in one piece (with still a little energy remaining as I managed to pace myself). A tough race due to all the hills, but then again I guess that makes it more interesting…will definitely be back next year 🙂
Well done to you all. Fantastic event. Are there any pictures from the race, I cant see any on The Burnham site?
A tough but great race, I’ll definately be back next year. A big thank you to the organisers and marhalls.
Thank you to everyone who organised this race. My first half and it was almost a pleasure. Marshalls were fantastic.
Thank you so much for a super experience last Sunday. It was my first big race after a marathon back in late April and I achieved a PB, despite the hills. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning and felt very supported by all the organisers. Jolly well done!
Great race, 3rd time and finally knocked five minutes off last 2 attempts which ended up within 20 seconds of each other. Really enjoyed it, see you next year
Here are a few photo’s from the day.

I would like to thank the organisers, the marshalls and the medical staff for helping me out when I had to pull up after 3 miles with a sore knee. I was well looked after and very impressed with the support that I got. It was my second attempt at completing the race and I will be back again next year determined to cross the finishing line.
