About Burnham Joggers
The club has a long history in the South Bucks area and has a reputation for welcoming runners of all abilities.
We run every Tuesday and Thursday evening throughout the year, meeting at 6.50pm, ready to leave on our runs at 7pm from Burnham Bowls Club (Stomp Road, Burnham, SL1 7NA). We are fortunate to have some wonderful running on our doorstep including Burnham Beeches, the Jubilee River and the Thames Path.
We offer regular beginner courses to non members where people can improve their running skills over several weeks. We aim to get everyone up to 5k distance over the course and encourage people to stick with running after they finish, ideally joining the club as full members.
The club runs a club championship each year and a monthly 10k staggered jog competition. We participate in the various Thames Valley running competitions, which include the 5k Summer Series and the Winter Cross Country series of events. These are fun but competitive events where we run with members of other clubs in the region and get to meet other runners – there’s a good social side to these events.
Members enjoy a great support network and are keen supporters of local parkruns and other running events.
We are also fortunate to be the organisers of three of the most successful regional running events – all in fantastic settings – raising funds for local charities. The Cliveden Classic 10k, the Beaconsfield 5 Mile Trail and the Burnham Beeches Half Marathon are all firm favourites with local runners.
Whatever you’re looking for from a local running club – come and see if we are right for you.

Running For Charity
Burnhan Joggers is a non-profit making organisation, so all our surplus funds (whilst maintaining a suitable level of cash reserves) are donated to charity. For more information on our charitable giving policies, please contact the Chair (email: bJchairman@gmail.com).
Welfare
Burnham Joggers is affiliated to England Athletics and UK Athletics. We look to uphold the values and policies set out by them, including athlete welfare, inclusion, fair play and clean sport.
If you have any concerns about athlete welfare at the Club (or more widely in the case of a vulnerable adult), then you should talk with the Club’s Welfare Officer, Phaedra Casey. Phaedra can be contacted by e-mail at welfare@burnhamjoggers.co.uk.
If you have a complaint, we commit that this will be listened to, taken seriously and the Club’s committee will take responsibility for trying to resolve the issue to everyone’s satisfaction in a timely way. You should share the complaint with the Club Secretary in accordance with the Club’s Grievance and Disciplinary Policy.
