CLIVEDEN CLASSIC 10K – IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE NATIONAL TRUST
June 14th 2025
Early bird entries are now open at https://events.kronosports.uk/event/559
Key Information
The event location is National Trust Cliveden on Cliveden Road, Taplow, SL6 0JA, Buckinghamshire. The race starts at 7.15pm.
Parking
Parking will be in the Walled Garden Main Car Park via the main gate to Cliveden (opposite The Feathers Pub). The Main Gate will not open before 6pm as the National Trust have to clear their day time visitors off site and out of the car parks. Please note The Feathers Pub have ANPR cameras installed so please do not park in there whilst waiting for access to Cliveden. Please try to arrive from 6pm until 6.25pm if your surname starts with A to M and from 6.25pm if your surname starts with N to Z. This will allow our Gate and Main Drive Marshals time to get you off the road at entry point and on your way up to the Walled Car Park. The walk to the start is approximately 10 minutes, so please allow enough time.
PLEASE car share where possible.
Warm-Up
This year we have an official warm up area indicated in Purple on the above map. This is a 5 minute light jog back to the start. There are two Marshals in the sector and they will clear the area at 6.55 PM (1855 HRS).
Race Numbers
Race numbers/timing chips are be picked up on race day at the start/finish line. Your race number must be attached to the front of your running top. Runners must run with the number and chip allocated to them. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, especially in the event of an accident. On the reverse of your race number are details for you to complete for any potential problems during your race. We must emphasise this fact as it is now a requirement of England Athletics through who we obtain our race licence. You are strongly advised to complete this when you pick up your number & chip.
Facilities
Please come ready to run as we do not have changing facilities available, and there is only a limited bag drop area (please leave your bag in your car if possible).
We will have toilets at the start/finish.
Water will be available at the start/finish and at the top of the steps, but we would encourage all runners to “go green”, and bring their own bottle with them
Grounds Access and Hotel
There is no entry or access to the Hotel Grounds at all. This includes the Square in front of the Hotel and also the Terrace at the rear of the Hotel. We politely ask that there is no access for spectators at all in these locations. You may observe from around the top of the steps and at the start finish line only. No access to the Steps at all and no access to the remainder of the grounds will be allowed. This is to comply with our licence from the EA and also from The National Trust.
The Race
NO SPIKES ALLOWED! This is at the request of the National Trust.
The course will be marked with arrows and tape. Please obey the marshals’ instructions. They are there for your convenience and safety, as with any trail run the course has many potential hazards.
We are having to impose a cut off time of 40 minutes for the first lap as it will be dark by approx. 8.30pm. Therefore if you haven’t completed the first lap in that time we will respectfully ask you to not start the second lap.
Once you have crossed the finish line keep moving through the finish area to pick up your race memento.
Should an accident occur, please ensure that the marshals are informed immediately. This year we have added Radio Communication to each Race Sector. The Lead Sector Marshal will communicate with Race HQ any issues reported.
First Aid
First aiders and an ambulance will attend the start/finish area and also at the top of the steps. If you feel unwell, contact a marshal who will arrange help.
Trophies
Results/Trophy announcement will take place near the start/finish line at approximately 8.30pm
