DIRECTIONS TO COCKPOLE GREEN (Grid Reference SU 800 812)

Directions:

1.         From Maidenhead/Slough

Take the A4 from Maidenhead Thicket Roundabout towards Reading.  Go through Littlewick Green and turn right off the A4 just before the dual carriageway starts at Knowl Hill.  The road is signposted to COCKPOLE GREEN.  The distance from the A4 to Cockpole Green is about two miles.

2.         From High Wycombe

Take the Hurley/Henley road from the Marlow by-pass.  At Remenham Hill turn left (with Aspect Park Golf Club now on your right) and in about one and a half miles you will find Cockpole Green.

5k Summer Series – Burnham Jogger’s Event – Results

First of all thanks to all the BJ’s who came out to help despite the weather conditions!

Also a thanks to all runners who braved the weather and  joined us in Burnham Beeches for the 5k event.  At least the rain died of just before the race started and during the post-race ‘drinks & dinner’ the rain stayed away too.

In total 118 runners started and the quickest finishing times were:

First Man: 16:04
First Lady: 20:22

So congratulations to them for the fast time given the two big hills and well done to everybody else too.

Just in case you did not hear, we had to modify the course at short notice due to a fallen tree blocking parts of the usual route, but rest assured that Race Director Alan did re-measure the revised course.
