Summer 5k Series

This is a friendly set of races between the members of nine runnning clubs in the Thames Valley area.

Six of the clubs – including ourselves – host a race. These usually takes place on a Tuesday evening with a start time of 7.30pm. Courses are generally flat and fast.

2024 Schedule

Club Members are only allowed to enter our hosted race if we have sufficient marshals on the night. Members can run as many of the other races as they like.

Each paid up Club Member will be allocated a race number to use throughout the series, so you pick your number up before your first race and then keep it for the whole series.

It costs only £10 per Club Member for the whole race season – pay before your first race. You can bring guests (minimum age 12 years except for our race, which is minimum age 18 years). We charge guests £4 per race and any one guest can enter a maximum of two races.

Club Members are expected to run in Club kit.

There are no prizes for the winners, just the enjoyment of the evening and the host Club puts on a spread after the race.

Each Club sends out instructions for their race 1-2 weeks prior to their event. These will normally be emailed to the Club membership and posted to our members’ Facebook page.

Please note that headphones are banned for safety reasons. To cut down on plastic no cups will be provided, so you also need to bring your own drinking vessel.
